Ravenstar
PERSONALITY Powers: level 3 fire wall, level 1 heat/fire tail Ravenstar is a fiery she-cat (quite literally), despite her darkened pelt. She holds a silver tongue, a rambunctious cat of sorts. She is sarcastic in her remarks, witty when need be. She shields herself with an exterior of indifference when it comes to emotions. She hides under the belief that emotions lead to vulnerability. If they don't know what you're thinking, they won't know how to attack you. Her playful nature is revealed when she is prompt to courting by a male, if he makes it obvious enough. Although she has never met or known about her father, Ravenstar holds a disgust and distasteful for the pityful life of an kittypet; like her father had. Although she would never express these feelings aloud, the ash cat never wishes to sulk at the bottom. It wasn't so much as Ravenstar wanted to be a leader, rather, being the daughter of a kittypet was what fueled her to rise among the leaders. Not to say that she doesn't bask in her rank. Despite her age, Ravenstar is wise, incredibly smart for her thirty moons . Instead of learning directly, the she-cat observes. She watches how others do things and bases her knowlege upon their behavior. She has the ability to act on an impulse, making decisions on the spot. Even with her smart and quick thinking brain, flirting with Ravenstar is the equivalent of partaking a one sided conversation. If anything, she'll take it as a threat to her leadership and become snarky. She has little natural curiosity; things that don't concern her are not of her interest. The cat heavily takes after father. HISTORY Ravenstar was not born among the high heritage that leaders claim their blood descends from. The she-cat was born to a kittypet and a rogue. The kittypet, her mother, was a pitiful lowlife, sulking around her city at night, looking for fights and toms. Her father, a fire bending rogue, was never seen or heard of the night after the kittens were born. Instead, he abandoned his home, probably dead at this stage of Ravenstar's life. In a minor way of protecting them from seeking out their father, their mother told them that he had died. Ravenstar was always the strongest among her siblings. With only three surviving, the she-cat had to take charge, caring for her sisters and brothers as her mother stumbled off into the dark every night, staying only when the twolegs were present. Her owners never knew about her kittens, hidden in the basement they were always. At only a few months old Raven was sick of the life that her mother was carving for her and her siblings. Still, she stayed: for a month. What pushed her over the brink was when her mother confronted the ebony she-cat over rubbish. Her mother claimed that Raven had been, in secret, speaking to their father. Ravenstar, having never met her father, was disgusted by her mother's ways and her lies. As the argument heated, as did the tension. As did Ravenstar. The young she-cat had revealed her fire abilities; killing her mother in the process. As her mother approached, a small ring of fire built around the dark pelted she-cat, and her caregiver stepped into it. Ravenstar, however much she hated her mother, fell troubled with guilt. She sought others like her, and in doing so, met an old tom cat. Pitch black fur, gleaming blue eyes, and a rustic nature in all claimed to know to the residence of the FireClan. Intrigued, and with no other place to return, Raven followed the old tom without much hesitation, leaving even her sisters to that of the twolegs. After what felt like days of travelling, the two cats arrived at a large territory, occupied by few cats. The heat that radiated off the area was strangely comforting to the she-cat. Ravenstar, not yet "Ravenstar" at the time, was greeted by the leader of the land. The cat that she had traveled with was greeted as "Deputy". For days Raven spent training with the Deputy, whose name she had learned, was Sparkleaf. He trained her the ways of a warrior cat, pit her against the most prime fighters in the clan. The she-cat rose among them, and took her place as a deputy, alongside Sparkleaf. Within months, he died. At the same time, the Lord of the clan fell ill, his last breath spent with Raven. He took her to the Moonstone, much to her confusion. He explained to her that Sparkleaf had been observing her through her life as a kit. He confessed that the tom was her father, that he hadn't left her mother. Instead, Sparkleaf had fallen in love with the she-cat. They had kits together, but when Sparkleaf proposed that they be raised inside the clan, their mother refused. He knew he had to choose between his clan and his blood, although he couldn't his family: the clan. Ravenstar had always been a candidate to succeed the Lord, and she received her nine lives on his last. Since, Ravenstar had trained her own apprentice, and is still settling into her leadership position. |
