High Positions AVAILABLE HPs are on a first come, first serve basis though there can be multiple people applying for the same position. Staff will decide who gets the HP once both applications are done. Remember, you can have 4 HPs but they cannot be the same rank or Clan. If you know that you'd like to reserve the EarthClan Guardian for example, you can't be the EarthClan King/Queen, Duke/Duchess, or Medicine Cat. The exceptions to this rule include the Avatar, the Guru, and the Guru's apprentice. Clan leaders are usually at least 30 moons old and must have had at least one apprentice beforehand. They still have 'star' as part of their name (ex. King Cloudstar, Chief Nettlestar, ect). Leader's are also still given 9 lives from StarClan. Deputies usually have fully mastered an ability as well as must have trained an apprentice. Medicine cats usually have bending abilities but nonbenders can be them too. Usually, if they are a bender, they have fully mastered one ability before becoming a full medicine cat. In certain Clans, mate's of Leaders/Deputies are considered a HP too, especially if adopting or making one. Please talk with the Rper of the Leader/Deputy you wish to make their mate first please. Though if this happens naturally through RP, then you are free to be their mate without it being considered a HP. FireClan There are two deputies because they both act as advisors to the Lord/Lady. When the Lord/Lady die, the Clan votes on which of the two will become the next leader. It is also important that StarClan approve of the choice. Normally, there are at least two while often sending a third out to AirClan to be their Medicine Cat. It is not unheard of for WaterClan to have three or even four MCs or MCAs. They usually do appoint a spokestom or spokes-she-cat to speak on behalf of the Clan in ceremonies and Gatherings. Beings Airbenders do not have abilities to heal, their Medicine Cats are almost always Nonbenders who study herbs, natural healing, or they accept a MC from WaterClan.
